SPHMBO Gets The Thumbs Up From Marketers

Singapore, 20 October 2010 - Leading Out-Of-Home (OOH) advertising company SPH MediaBoxOffice (SPHMBO) has got the thumbs up from the industry for its targeted reach to consumers, particularly for female fashion and luxury goods.

According to a recent survey by Marketing Magazine, SPHMBO was ranked third by marketers when it came to choosing the best media platform to reach this target group.

SPHMBO currently owns and operates more than 600 digital advertising screens in Singapore, of which about 200 screens are located in 30 prime shopping malls island-wide. The "Retail Network" effectively reaches 16 million repeat consumers every month with advertising messages at the point-of-purchase.

The survey also recognises SPHMBO as one of the top five OOH advertising companies in Singapore, ahead of other digital media companies such as Focus Media, EYE and Mediatech.

As the leader in digital OOH advertising, SPHMBO also manages eight large outdoor LED screens in strategic locations such as Orchard Road, Raffles Place and the heartlands, effectively reaching PMEBs, youth and affluent shoppers.

“The survey results are a strong endorsement of our leadership position in Digital OOH advertising. We are constantly finding ways to improve the quality of our products. The Out-Of-Home Media Company of the Year 2010 survey was commissioned by Marketing Magazine and conducted by Boardroom Research. The online survey was sent to 19,815 people and 546 respondents took part in the survey. Amongst the respondents, 64% were brand owners and 46% were from advertising agencies. 17% of respondents were CEO, MDs, GMs, VPs and Directors.

The objective of the survey was to uncover which outdoor company client marketers and agencies were most likely to use for their campaigns. Instead of prompting respondents through multiple-choice answers or drop-down menus, the respondents had to type in their results in free text fields, so that the results were unbiased.
