Seventy-eight awards, including newly introduced Innovation Awards, presented in recognition of the best tech brands and products
Singapore, 20 February 2014 – In recognition of the best brands and products in the technology industry, HWM, Singapore’s leading tech magazine, and Singapore’s No.1 online technology portal HardwareZone.com, today announced the winners of the HWM+HardwareZone.com Tech Awards 2014 at Goodwood Park Hotel.
Now in its 5th edition, the HWM+HardwareZone.com Tech Awards is the industry’s largest and most inclusive awards event and celebrates the most influential technology companies as well as excellence in product performance and innovation. This year, 32 Editor’s Choice awards and 42 Readers’ Choice awards were handed out in categories ranging from computers and consumer electronics to digital entertainment, communications and services.
In addition, a total of four Innovation Awards, a new award category added this year, will be given out with the aim of recognising innovative products and cutting-edge technologies that have emerged during the eligibility period.
For the Editor’s Choice awards, a total of 148 products spread across 32 categories were evaluated in the HWZ Labs between the eligibility period of December 2012 and November 2013. An expert editorial panel puts each product through proven benchmarks and test methodologies with winners chosen based on performance, value and innovation in consumer experience.
The Readers’ Choice awards saw an increase in brand nominations from 169 nominees in 2013 to 186 in 2014, spanning a total of 42 categories.
Over a quarter million votes were cast during the four-week voting period, indicating the continued growth of the HWM+HardwareZone.com Tech Awards as the platform of choice for consumers to identify the most recognisable brands in the industry.
