Her World and herworldPLUS Present The Young Woman Achiever Forum 2014
Singapore, 26 February 2014 - For the first time, Singapore’s number one women’s interest magazine Her World and its sister website herworldplus.com will be reaching out to Singapore’s young women at The Young Woman Achiever Forum 2014 on International Women’s Day, March 8.
Singapore Women on Achievers Panel
In a bid to excite and inspire young women, The Young Woman Achiever Forum 2014 (YWAF) will feature a panel of inspirational, successful women who will speak on their experiences about reaching their dreams and goals. They will also share their secrets to success and how they overcame their challenges. The panel comprises:● Pat Law, an award-winning digital media strategist;
● Celeste Chong, the co-founder of Singapore’s most popular entertainment venue The Butter Factory;
● Mountain-climber Jane Lee, the first woman from Southeast Asia to scale the Seven Summits mountain peaks;
● Dr Tanvi Gautnam, the program director for Women and Leadership, Executive Education at Singapore Management University; and
● Talented baker and successful young businesswoman Nursyazanna Syaira Mohammad Suhimi from Fluff Bakery.
In addition, three successful young women ‒ Trixie Khong, the founder of popular online store byinviteonly; Audrey Tan, the co-founder of PlayMoolah, a company that designs fun digital products for young people to learn about money; and Charmaine Yee, HOT FM91.3 DJ ‒ will also share how they achieved their dreams.
#daretodream campaign
In a concerted effort to discover more inspiring young women, Her World and herworldplus have collaborated with Singapore Management University (SMU) to create the #daretodream campaign. Planned and executed by a group of SMU marketing students, the campaign is calling for “young dreamers” to be nominated. Three of these dreamers will be featured in Her World magazine and on herworldPLUS. Nominations are now open; please visit http://campaign.herworldplus.com/ywaf/dare.html.
