SPH launches Lucky Draw in celebration of 30th anniversary

Singapore, 17 March 2014 --- Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) celebrates its 30th anniversary this year with a grand lucky draw called SPH Lucky 30 Draw.

The online lucky draw will be held from 17 March to 18 May 2014. A total of 30 attractive prizes amounting to about $88,000 await 30 lucky winners.

The top prizes (not in order of value) include a 10D7N holiday for two to Santorini and Athens (airfare and accommodation); $10,000 cash in Savings Account with State Bank of India; a Tanzanite Pendant with Diamonds and 18K White Gold from Diamond Industries; a Star Cruises 5N Penang/Phuket/Malacca Cruise with $300 Dining Credit for two on SuperStar Virgo, and a U-Boat Watch Classico 45 AS 1/A Red Stitch from Bezel. 

There are many other prizes to be won, including staycations, electronic gadgets, shopping vouchers and magazine subscriptions. The wide variety of prizes is aimed to meet the varying needs and interests of different people.

The lucky draw is open to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 18 years old and above. Existing direct subscribers of SPH newspapers (print and/or digital) are given 5 chances to win.

To take part in the draw, participants have to register on the official lucky draw website at from 17 March. The contest closes on 18 May 2014 at 11.59pm.

The lucky draw will be conducted electronically and the top three winners will be invited to SPH News Centre on 26 May for a second round of draw to pick their top prize. Results of the lucky draw will be announced on 27 May 2014 in SPH's main newspapers and the official lucky draw website.

Besides the SPH Lucky 30 Draw, some other celebration activities to mark SPH's 30th anniversary include special subscription deals in July and anniversary offers for readers in August. Look out for details in the coming months. Earlier this month, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra put up a special performance at Paragon to kickstart the 30th anniversary celebrations.

SPH has a 20 per cent stake in MediaCorp TV Holdings Pte Ltd, which operates free-to-air channels 5, 8 and U, and a 40 per cent stake in MediaCorp Press Limited, which publishes the free newspaper, Today. 

Events and Out-of-Home Advertising

SPH’s events arm Sphere Exhibits organises innovative consumer and trade events and exhibitions as well as large scale conferences in Singapore and the region. In addition, SPH has ventured into out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its digital out-of-home platform SPHMBO. 


SPH REIT is a Singapore-based REIT established principally to invest, directly or indirectly, in a portfolio of income-producing real estate which is used primarily for retail purposes in Asia-Pacific, as well as real estate-related assets. SPH REIT is managed by SPH REIT Management Pte. Ltd., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings Limited. 

The initial portfolio of SPH REIT comprises the following two high quality and well located commercial properties in Singapore:

· Paragon, a premier upscale retail mall and medical suite/office property, well known for its upscale mall housing many luxury brands, located in the heart of Orchard Road; and
· The Clementi Mall, a mid-market suburban mall located in the centre of Clementi town, an established residential estate in the west of Singapore.
