In this garden, love blossoms
Singapore, 13 June 2014 – Celebrate romance this weekend at Love@The Gardens organised by The Straits Times Classified and The New Paper Classified.
The event on June 14 and 15 at Gardens by the Bay is a showcase of 24 exhibitors, including the established names in the wedding industry, hotels, restaurants, jewellers, beauty services, and more.
Whether you are planning for your dream wedding, commemorating wedding anniversaries, or simply want to indulge in romance with your loved one, there is a fine selection of products and services to choose from.
There are also attractive prizes to be won. Visitors who make a purchase from any one of the exhibitors stand to take part in the Buyers’ Draw to win a one-day luxury ride. Three lucky winners will get to choose between a chauffeured ride in a Bentley or take the wheel of a Ferrari and experience driving a supercar for a day. Only winners above 30 years old who possess a valid driving licence qualify to drive the Ferrari. Each one-day luxury car rental is worth $2,800. The prizes for the Buyers’ Draw are sponsored by Motorway Car Rentals.
Mr Michael Lim, the owner of Motorway Car Rentals said: “We are very happy to sponsor the prizes for the Buyers’ Draw because we want to give couples a unique way to spend time together and add glamour to their romance. The ride in a supercar is symbolic of their journey of love, and we hope it will be an unforgettable experience for the winners.”
Watch out for the live round of Love contest to be held this Sunday. Twelve couples will go up on stage and put their love to the test. They were shortlisted from over 200 entries submitted for the Love@The Gardens photo contest. The contest which ran from May 24 to June 10 called for couples to submit their best photo. The shortlisted couples were picked based on how well they expressed their love through their photograph, picture composition, and photo quality among other criteria.
The top three winning couples will each win a romantic trip for two to Jiuzhaigou (land tours inclusive of food and accommodation, flight tickets not included) worth $1,998 per couple. In addition, there is a total of $1,000 worth of shopping vouchers to be won.
One of the selected couples, Madam Leong Lin Foon and her husband, Mr Kan Yee Heng, both 75, will take to the stage this Sunday to try their hand at winning. The couple have been married for 53 years. Said Madam Leong: “I took part in the photo contest hoping to win a prize and sent in our favourite snapshot. I am ready to take to the stage with my husband and answer any questions posed during the contest on Sunday. My family and friends will be showing up to support us.”
Other event highlights include a fashion show of the latest in bridal wear happening on both days at 5pm. Visitors will also be entertained by live band performances.

Properties
SPH REIT is a Singapore-based REIT established principally to invest, directly or indirectly, in a portfolio of income-producing real estate which is used primarily for retail purposes in Asia-Pacific, as well as real estate-related assets.
