Kiss92 is Singapore's No. 1 English music radio station based on share of listenership

Singapore, 18 June 2014 – The latest Nielsen radio survey results released today saw Kiss92 emerging as Singapore's No. 1 English music station based on percentage share of listenership. Its cumulative listenership saw the biggest leap of 89,000 to 574,000, overtaking GOLD 90.5 to claim No. 2 spot  in terms of cumulative listenership among English radio stations here.

This survey wave saw all SPH Radio stations making it into the Top 10 positions with UFM 100.3’s listenership increasing from 266,000 to 320,000. HOT FM91.3’s listenership is at 318,000 with an increase in percentage share and time spent listening in this wave.

Since it's launch more than one and a half years ago, Kiss92 has been creating plenty of buzz. In September 2013, Kiss92 ran the first ever reality radio game show in Singapore - Kiss92’s Perfect Match with the winning couple taking home the grand prize worth $60,000 at the grand finale on 26 October 2013. In March this year, Kiss92 embarked on a Bucket List campaign and got fans thinking about their dream experiences. The station fulfilled more than 10 fan experiences, including a diving adventure in the Great Barrier Reef, an Australian adventure roadtrip and a trip to the European countryside. This campaign aimed at empowering Kiss92 fans to take that first step to pursue the experiences they dreamed of.

HOT FM91.3, targeting the under 30s, has also been actively engaging fans. In March 2014, the station went on a hunt for Singapore’s Hottest BFF (Best Friend Forever). Three shortlisted pairs of contestants played for the grand prize worth more than $30,000, including $10,000 cash and a Contiki European adventure. HOT FM91.3 also made a football fan’s dream come true when it
 gave away a trip to Brazil to catch the World Cup 2014 as part of a Budweiser campaign.

In March 2014, UFM100.3 rolled out its U1000 countdown campaign to determine the best 1000 songs of all times as nominated and voted by the fans. With more than half a million song votes, the countdown proved to be a success with more than 800 fans gathering at the U1000 sing-a-long concert to cap off the countdown.

The station is also focused on engagement with its listeners through on-ground events such as its signature “Must Drink Friday” with free flow of drinks and interaction with their favourite DJs. Hot FM also engages its listeners on the street with car decal giveaways and live broadcast, in school with Recess Express school visits, online with Facebook and the station website, and on Mobile with Hot FM’s iPhone & Android apps. 

The HOT FM91.3 line-up includes The Shan & Cheryl Show in the mornings from 6am to 10pm. JJ plays non-stop hits from 10am to 4pm followed by Adam and Josh taking you home from 4pm to 7.30pm. Charmaine & Jill of the HOT 30 Countdown rounds up the day with the daily fan rated chart show.

Singapore's fastest growing station, Kiss92, launched on 3 September 2012 targets women and families. It provides in-depth women and family content, coupled with adult contemporary music. Women aged 30 and above, and families will find the channel informative and entertaining. 

Kiss92 brings on experts to share their knowledge on topics such as Relationships and Family Matters, Health and Wellness issues, Financial Planning and Career Advancements. It also covers Fashion and Beauty, Shopping, Entertainment, as well as offer listings of family friendly and community events. Tapping on its collaboration with SPH Magazines, 

Maddy, Jason and Arnold in the morning start the day from 6am to 10pm followed by Claressa Monteiro jazzing up the afternoon from 10am to 2pm. Desiree Lai from 2pm to 4pm and John Klass taking fans home helming the 4pm to 8pm show.

UFM100.3 is a highly-charged Mandarin infotainment station targeting at working professionals aged between 35 – 49 years that is specially catered to their lifestyle. Its creative, lively and engaging delivery style is able to consistently hook listeners on for a far longer period of listening. Program content is designed to cater specifically for the busy individuals with timely updates and discussion on current affairs, health and wellness, financial planning, property investment, communication, lifestyle, music and entertainment. 

The station’s drive-time programmes are anchored by veteran DJs Wenhong, Limei and Xiaozhu in the morning, and DJ Anna in the evening. Lunch time programme is helmed by Yuling from 10am to 2pm followed by Liangquan from2pm to 5pm.

The station actively engages its listeners through various interactive events such as dinner gatherings and enrichment workshops. To further strengthen loyalty, DJs also reaches out to the public through its outdoor activations, conducting games and giveaway prizes while introducing the station to new potential listeners. UFM 100.3 also supports various community, non-profit and charity organizations with its annual U-Shine program that raises public awareness of lesser known causes and charities.
