NUYOU celebrates 38

Singapore, 27 August 2014 – NUYOU, Singapore’s leading Chinese fashion & beauty magazine of SPH Magazines Pte Ltd, marks its 38th anniversary with a three-month long celebration featuring a series of “firsts”. It is one thing to celebrate, but another to celebrate fabulously with many “firsts”.

Themed “Fabulous Ways to Celebrate”, NUYOU’s September 2014 Anniversary issue features Taiwanese celebrity Sonia Sui on a specially shot black and white cover. Its pages unveil a myriad of ways to celebrate in a chic and up-to-the-minute manner from indulging in the season’s most beautiful clothes and accessories to fine jewellery to a celebratory cocktail specially concocted by an award winning mixologist. What’s more, find out what Singapore A-listers such as Yvonne Lim, Jesseca Liu, Julie Tan and Golden Horse Award winner Yeo Yann Yann are looking forward to when they hit 38.

The tablet edition of NUYOU’s September issue will feature exclusive birthday video messages from 17 top personalities such as Taiwan-based heartthrob Wu Chun, Taiwanese superstar Sonia Sui, Golden Horse award winner Yeo Yann Yann and Singapore’s very own Member of Parliament Mr Baey Yam Keng. NUYOU’s digital edition is downloadable on Apple App Store and Google Play via Magzter.  

To share its birthday joy with readers, NUYOU is giving away 38 goodies worth up to $30,000. They include a Le Pliage leather bag from Longchamp, specially customised by Editor Terence Lee with ‘NY38’ embossed on it, a staycation at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, high tea for two at W Hotel, on-trend gadgets, luxury watches and beauty products.

Collector’s Edition Set

Fans can also look forward to NUYOU’s first Collector’s Edition Box Set. Designed specially by the NUYOU team, the reusable envelope folder will hold the September issue and three Shiseido gifts worth up to $80, including the newly launched Ultimune serum. Only 1,000 of these limited edition box sets will retail exclusively at Kinokuniya at $18 each. 

First in Asia -- Mulberry for NUYOU tote bag 

In October, NUYOU will wrap up its anniversary celebrations with a first-ever Asian collaboration with British luxury brand Mulberry. The design team in London created an exclusive tote bag for NUYOU, which will come free with every print copy of the October 2014 issue, priced at just $6 each. The collector’s item, a version of Mulberry’s seasonal tote bag featuring an illustration of the Cara Delevingne Bag, will feature a personalised NUYOU tag just for our readers.

Hot on the shelves now: First collaboration in 38 years with three home-grown designers – Alfie Leong of A.W.O.L, Nic Wong of CRUISE and Afton Chan of STILL

NUYOU’s birthday celebrations first kick-started in August with a design collaboration between Editor Terence Lee and three Singapore designers. Together they conceptualised and designed three capsule collections with 15 complete looks for the quintessential NUYOU reader - trendy, chic and vibrant. 

The end result sees each collection carrying a distinct style that appeals to different facets of the modern NUYOU woman - the ladies who lunch (NUYOU x A.W.O.L.), the adventurous-stylish jetsetter (NUYOU x Cruise), and the fashionable working executive (NUYOU x Still).  Launched on 1 August 2014, the collections are currently selling exclusively in Robinsons Orchard till 31 August 2014
