Singapore, 15 December 2014 – Support your favourite brands and services in Singapore by voting for them in the AsiaOne People's Choice Awards. The annual awards, now into its seventh year, is open for voting at www.asiaone.com/pca.
Members of the public who enter their particulars stand to qualify for the weekly lucky draw. Over $4,000 worth of shopping vouchers and prizes and the latest smartphones are up for grabs.
AsiaOne People's Choice Awards 2015 has a total of 27 categories comprising Singaporeans' favourite industries such as F&B, shopping, beauty, fitness and travel. There are also two new categories: Best Online Retailer and Best Brunch Restaurant. These additional segments acknowledge popular requests by readers during last year's voting phase.
Last year, over 200,000 votes were cast over a three-month voting period, with 300 brands vying to be the favourite choice of Singaporeans. Buffet restaurant Carousel was voted as the Best Buffet Restaurant for the fifth year in a row and inducted into the AsiaOne People's Choice Awards Hall of Fame. It joined SIM Global Education and POSB Everyday Card as Singaporeans' perennial favourites.
Mr Adrian Tay, Editor of AsiaOne, said: "For the past six years, the AsiaOne People's Choice Awards has been championing the acknowledgement of outstanding brands and services.
"Recent events have shown how easy it is for people to go online and express their unhappiness against unfair trade practices. It should be just as easy for people to acknowledge and praise brands and products that have proven to be the best in their respective areas. Our digital platforms provide the online community with the means to do so," he added.
AsiaOne is Singapore's premier news and lifestyle gateway that will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2015. This year's People's Choice Awards is AsiaOne's latest initiative to engage with readers by giving them a platform to make their voices heard.
Voting for the seventh annual AsiaOne People's Choice Awards will close in January 2015. Winners will be announced in the first quarter of 2014.
