Her World Beauty Awards 2016 - Celebrating 15 years of the best in beauty

Singapore, 26 February 2016 – Her World Beauty Awards celebrated its 15th anniversary this year with 189 winners in skincare, makeup, hair care and more, at an awards presentation ceremony today at ION Orchard.  

To mark the 15th anniversary of the Her World Beauty Awards, the results will be published in a pull-out booklet which features a special ‘Beauty Game Changers’ theme, to celebrate the most influential and significant people, places and trends in the industry. Prominent names like Dr Georgia Lee, medical director of the TLC Lifestyle Practice Clinic and makeup artist Clarence Lee will be featured in the booklet, alongside write-ups on groundbreaking beauty services like fillers and eyelash extensions. 

Over 800 nominees, which included 755 products, six beauty boutiques and 34 of the best fragrance ads, were evaluated across 93 categories according to how they best targeted the concerns and met the needs of customers. More than 1,900 online votes were received from readers to determine the Readers’ Choice winners. Her World’s panel of judges, comprising editors, beauty writers, leading makeup and hair experts, and doctors, were tasked with assessing the Editors’ Choice awards. 

In addition to Readers’ Choice and Editors’ Choice awards, this is the third year that the Her World Beauty Awards event has included Bloggers’ Choice awards. Readers can also look forward to a special category called Best Beauty Boutique, which crowns the most outstanding beauty stores launched within the judging period that offer consumers unparalleled levels of service and shopping experience. This category has been introduced to highlight the recent trend of beauty brands offering consumers a more immersive shopping experience at their standalone boutiques.

Started in 2001, the Her World Beauty Awards – the first of its kind by a magazine in Singapore – honours exceptional products in the beauty industry that have demonstrated noteworthy efficacy and value. This year’s edition evaluated products that were launched between October 2014 and September 2015.
