Singapore, 21 September 2016 – SPH Magazines Pte Ltd (SPH Magazines) has once again emerged as the preferred choice of advertisers and marketers, as shown in the recent Magazine of the Year survey conducted by trade magazine Marketing.
Based on the 2016 Media Spend Benchmarking Survey, SPH Magazines is the top publisher with the most number of titles helming top positions across eight categories including Women’s Magazine of the Year, Women’s Fashion Magazine of the Year, Men’s Magazine of the Year, Motor Vehicle Magazine of the Year, Luxury Magazine of the Year, Teens Magazine of the Year, Parenting Magazine of the Year and In-flight Magazine of the Year. Over 900 respondents participated in the survey, which included advertising decision-makers and influencers across key agencies. 100% of client-advertiser respondents were manager-level decision makers and above, more than 20% from the most senior ranks of client-advertisers and another 27% from VPs and director-level ranks. The majority of the respondents from the agency side were CEO, MDs, GMs (47%), 43% were marketing personnel and 10% creative and media personnel. Advertisers from major and local international banks, FMCG companies, property and construction, as well as those from travel and hospitality companies participated in the survey. Agency professionals across the marketing spectrum were also well-represented. In particular, SPH Magazines dominated the women’s market yet again clinching the top spots with Singapore’s number one women’s magazine Her World, CLEO Singapore and The Singapore Women’s Weekly in theWomen’s Magazine of the Year category, while CLEO Singapore was also the second most popular Teens Magazine of the Year. Harper’s Bazaar and Female took second and third placings respectively in theWomen’s Fashion Magazine of the Year category.
SPH Magazines’ men's titles Men’s Health and Nanyou ranked first and third places in the Men’s Magazine of the Year category respectively. Other titles which won the top place in their respective categories wereTorque for Motor Vehicle Magazine of the Year, Young Parents for Parenting Magazine of the Year and SPH Magazines’ custom title SilverKris for the In-flight Magazine of the Year category. SPH Magazines’ luxury titleThe Peak ranked second in the Luxury Magazine of the Year category.
