12,550sqm mega sourcing event for gifts, office, printing, packaging and signage concludes with resounding success

SINGAPORE, 2 August 2017 – Singapore Gifts & Premiums Fair (SGPFair), Office Expo Asia (OEA) and PrintPack+Sign (PP+S) – a 3-in-1 mega sourcing event showcasing corporate gifts, office and printing, packaging, signage solutions all under one roof took place on 26 – 28 July 2017 at Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo Convention Centre, Level One, Hall A, B & C.

Officially opened on 26 July by Mr. Saktiandi Supaat, Member of Parliament and Member of the Government Parliamentary Committee for Finance and Trade and Industry, SGPFair, OEA & PP+S is organised by BizLink Exhibition Services Pte Ltd, a subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings Limited.

The event welcomed nearly 300 exhibitors from 34 countries and regions, and played host to 5 international country pavilions from China, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, and the largest Vietnam Pavilion at SGPFair led by the Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Over 12,000 domestic and international buyers and business leaders from Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc. thronged the halls packed with sellers of corporate and retail gifts, branding, promotional items, office essentials and solutions, printing, packaging, and signage solutions.

Mr Chua Wee Phong, Executive Director, BizLink Exhibition Services Pte Ltd, said: “The synergism of SGPFair, OEA and PP+S produces a winning formula for comprehensive sourcing. We are pleased to receive continuous support from the relevant industry associations all these years.”

Many exhibitors were seen using the show to launch new products and services to the Singapore market.

Photobook Moments, a specialised photo book maker officially launched their B2B & B2B2C portal at PP+S 2017. Combining their strengths in the photo and digital printing business, Photobook Moments keep brands relevant by transforming customer experiences and accelerating growth with photo gifts. For the consumer, templates for all occasions allow them to design exquisite photo books even without any design skills.

Mr Aaron Lim, Managing Director of Photobook Moments said: “We aim to partner with travel companies, retail outlets, celebration brands, tourist attractions and more. This event is the perfect platform for us to reach out to corporate buyers across many different industries.”

AVS Technologies held the Southeast Asia preview of the RICOH Ri Direct to Garment Printer at their booth. One of the fastest in the market, the Ri 6000 can print full-colour 12 inch by 10 inch graphics on light coloured garments in less than 27 seconds. Easily printing high-definition photo prints and CMYK designs, it uses water-based inks that are extremely soft and vibrant. Heat curing technology ensures ink longevity so finished prints will be colourfast, machine-washable, soft to the touch, and stretch without cracking.

There was also a 100% biodegradable booth display by USC Solutions. Designed and constructed solely out of a biodegradable material called Xanita Board, a paper composite material, this is the first time a booth has been made entirely out of this material. 100 per cent re-pulpable, light weight, super strong, directly printable and non-toxic, this could be a potential game changer for the display and signage market.

Mr Marco Moochala said, “We hope to set a standard for all future exhibitions. Today’s traditional displays makes use of a lot of metal, wood, acrylic and other non-biodegradable materials, which adds to the environmental costs. Moreover, these displays are often only used for a few days and then discarded. Using this material to construct a booth will allow for lower costs in designing the booth and will tremendously lower the overall cost to the environment.”

Apart from witnessing new launches, sourcing for equipment, machinery and solutions, educational content at the all new Branding & Marketing Design Suite, local artists’ live demonstrations on the show floor and the Festive Gifts & Packaging Design Showcase provided corporate buyers, design practitioners and business leaders with meaningful experiences to add value to their visit.

Next year’s edition will return from 18 – 20 July 2018.
