From the eve of CNY this Thursday (15 Feb) to Sunday (18 Feb), zaobao.sg will lift its paywall for non-subscribers. All readers, regardless of subscription status, will be able to access premium and exclusive content in the subscribers’ zone (www.zaobao.com.sg/premium).
These premium content include PDF e-papers of Lianhe Zaobao, Lianhe Wanbao and Shin Min Daily News. All other digital native content will also be free. This promotion will be extended for another 30 days starting from next Monday (19 Feb) when readers register for a new trial account with zaobao.sg during the promotion period.
On the eve of CNY (15 Feb), zaobao.sg will launch a special one-hour CNY programme (bit.ly/ZBcny2018) at 10am. Viewers can enjoy Chinese crosstalk or xiangsheng performances; nanyin, a type of classical music from the Fujian region in China, as well as performances by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra.
Viewers can also take a sneak peek into the journalists’ homes and learn fancy CNY recipes from their mums. Those who are into Chinese zodiacs can learn more about their fortunes in the Year of the Dog. These zodiac advisory videos are available in both Mandarin and Cantonese.
