Singapore, 3 May 2018 – The SPH Charity Carnival, an annual charity bazaar organised by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), will return on 7 May 2018 at the SPH News Centre Auditorium from 11am to 3pm.

The event, back for the seventh year, provides a platform for various SPH divisions and subsidiaries, as well as local charities, to raise awareness and funds for various charitable causes.

This year, 12 external local charities will be selling an assortment of merchandise, handicrafts and baked goods, mostly made by beneficiaries.

These external charities are: Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES), Action for Singapore Dogs, AMK FSC Bakery Hearts, Bizlink Centre, Cat Welfare Society, Down Syndrome Association, Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH), Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE), Singapore National Paralympic Council (SNPC), SPCA, The Salvation Army and World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

In addition, 12 SPH divisions and subsidiaries will also be setting up booths to sell food, handicrafts, or set up game stalls at the carnival to raise funds for their adopted charities.

SPH Charity Carnival is jointly organised by SPH’s Corporate Communications & CSR Division and the SPH Staff Volunteers Club.
