Experience all things Turkish at The Seletar Mall

Singapore, 10 May 2018 - The Seletar Mall will be organising a campaign to bring the unique culture and character of Turkey right into the heart of Sengkang from 11 to 24 May. Themed 'A Turkish Experience', The Seletar Mall seeks to give shoppers a snapshot of Turkey through a series of Turkish delights and fun.

The mention of Turkey immediately brings to mind their famous covered markets (Kapalı Çarşı). Each Turkish city has its own bazaar, hawking local goodies from the various regions.

At the main atrium of The Seletar Mall, a mini Kapalı Çarşı will showcase a unique spread of Turkish-themed products and services, alongside activities such as Turkish coffee-making with sand, traditional do-it-yourself (DIY) Kumpir and belly-dancing. The one of a kind Turkish Fair will welcome shoppers from 11 to 17 May.

In addition to the Turkish Fair, shoppers will once again get the opportunity to dress up their pet cats to be part of the cat dress-up contest. Shoppers simply need to upload a picture of their cat together with a short story on the mall's Facebook page from now till 12 May. Eight finalists and their feline friends will be invited to the mall to compete in the contest final for the chance to win attractive prizes worth more than $2,400.

A spokesperson from The Seletar Mall said: "In the cities of Turkey, street cats are treasured and loved by locals and visitors. Since 2016, The Seletar Mall has also been supporting the Cat Welfare Society. In conjunction with 'A Turkish Experience', we take this opportunity to partner the Cat Welfare Society once again to support local cats in need."
