Stronger motoring content with Torque and sgCarMart tie-up

Singapore, 12 September2019 29-year-old title Torque, a motoring-related magazine published by SPH Magazines, will be going fully digital in line with evolving audience needs. With this change, SGCM Pte Ltd, a specialist in the digital automotive field, will take over the operations of Torque from 30 November 2019.

SGCM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Press Holdings that operates, as well as These portals account for more than 80% of the market share in the online automotive space in Singapore.

The move will leverage the strengths of both brands to create a holistic outreach and strengthen SPH’s automotive presence – SGCM’s complete coverage of the online car listing industry and Torque’s authoritative presence in the motoring content space.

Torque will cease publication of the bi-monthly print magazine from its November/December 2019 issue to focus on developing its footprint in the fast growing digital, web and social space. This will complement sgCarMart’s strong digital presence in new and used car listings and provide greater one-stop convenience as well as value proposition to both car buyers as well as car dealers. Torque’s content team will continue to also provide other SPH publications with relevant motoring content.
