The Finder celebrates its 300th Issue with a collector's edition featuring 34 inspiring Singaporean business owners and more

Singapore, 13 September 2019 - The Finder - Insider's Guide for Expats in Singapore - announced the release of its collector's edition Issue 300 today. As the longest-running publication for expatriates in Singapore, it is the only such title to reach this milestone.

The Finder’s Editor-in-Chief Sara Lyle Bow said: "We wanted to celebrate this exciting achievement - during Singapore's own bicentennial year - with an issue to highlight the very best of the Red Dot. The Finder was started by two entrepreneurial expats in 1993 to give trusted business recommendations to newcomers on the island. Today, we still take this dual role of supporting locally based businesses and serving the international community very seriously."

As such, Issue 300 opens with an ambitious cover story featuring 34 Singaporean business owners, hand-picked because of their unique offerings that help people "live well in Singapore" - The Finder's own core mission. Dubbed #FinderSGFaves, those featured include:
  • Bonnie Wong - taste-making COO of long-running Creative Eateries Group. From its first F&B venture in SG in 1992 to its latest, chic Chinese hotel eatery JÙN 俊, her family-run company has 50 flourishing concepts, which all focus on excellent quality, service and design.
  • Jayne Nadarajoo - founder of forward-thinking White Lodge Education Group. Started because she wasn't satisfied with how her children were being "nurtured" in school, the group now includes eight White Lodges around SG, special needs-focused Melbourne Specialist International School and recent acquisition, Invictus International School.
  • Jaslyn Chan - co-founder of lifestyle brand IUIGA. Based on the premise that providing accessible goods at affordable prices should not compromise quality, this online-meets-offline retailer has new outlets at Tampines 1, Funan and other prime locations.
  • Edmund Wee - founder of Singapore-focused publisher Epigram Books. Since 2011, his company has championed Singapore literature for all ages, from picture books to literary novels.
  • Bryan Tay & Victoria Martin-Tay - co-founders of boOm Singapore. This married couple from different exercise backgrounds - Victoria was "very inactive" while Bryan was an Olympic swimmer - run a popular, inclusive workout and boxing studio for people of all fitness levels.
In addition, just for this collector's edition, The Finder created a special "From SG with Love" section, including original stories on the best contemporary local artists to support, the most "Instagrammable" hotels in the city as well as "15 Reasons to Love Living Here" (no matter where you're from).

The issue is also full of great sponsored content on leading retailers and services such as TheAC and UFIT; top international schools like Tanglin Trust School; F&B destinations including mezza9, South Beach Avenue and Wheeler's Estate; as well as "Ask the Experts" panelists from International Medical Clinic, Australasian Taxation Service and more.

Publisher Eileen Chia said of the free magazine available at more than 400 highly targeted outlets around the island: "With no dates on the covers, each themed issue of The Finder is designed as an annual. This extends the reach for our valued partners and limits waste, as there is no arbitrary 'sell-by' date."

Today, The Finder's more than 300,000 users turn to its well-crafted articles, videos, events and more to find out the best things to do, buy and "die die must-try" around Singapore.
