SPH Launches New Subscription Website –

Singapore, 9 February 2007 - Subscribing to Singapore Press Holdings´ (SPH) newspapers, magazines, as well as online and mobile news services is now made easier with the launch of its new website –

Complementary to the conventional channels of subscription via the phone and roadshows, this new website provides a one-stop service to consumers to subscribe to SPH´s wide range of newspapers and magazines in just six simple steps, 24 hours, seven days a week.

Another plus is that consumers who subscribe to any of SPH´s newspapers online will also enjoy the same promotions and exciting array of gifts ranging from wellness products, cool kitchen gadgets and appliances to free magazines that are being offered at SPH´s subscription roadshows and subscriptions made over the phone. Online magazine subscribers are also entitled to a 20 per cent discount off the cover price.

Some of the publications available for subscription online include The Straits Times, The Sunday Times, The New Paper Weekend edition, Lianhe Zaobao, Tamil Murasu, Berita Harian, The Business Times, Her World, UW, Shape, Maxim, Young Parents, Nuyou, Home and Decor and Torque.

Mr Chua Wee Phong, Acting Executive Vice-President of SPH Circulation department said, “With its colourful display and easy-to-use features, consumers can look forward to an enjoyable online shopping experience as they surf and browse through the wide selection of SPH publications available for subscription on the new website, right from the comfort of their own home, at a time convenient to them. And they can even subscribe to multiple publications at one go, without the hassle of filling up numerous forms.”

Other plans in the pipeline include adding more titles to the current list of publications, as well as improving the website´s interactivity such as features to enable consumers to renew their subscription online, and give instructions for temporary suspension of delivery when they travel overseas.
