Berita Harian 50th Anniversary Treasure Hunt On Wheels – 10 March 2007

Singapore, 8 March 2007 - It may not be the Amazing Race, but Berita Harian´s first ever Treasure Hunt on Wheels on Saturday, March 10, 2007, promises to be a morning of fun for the family. It is being held in conjunction with Berita Harian´s 50th anniversary this year.

A total of 100 cars – each team comprising two to four members – will be taking part in the ’race’. The main aim of the event is to promote family bonding through an activity which will require much teamwork, both physical and mental.

Berita Harian Editor Guntor Sadali says: ’’I expect it to be a really fun event that would encourage family bonding. With several prizes being offered, this treasure hunt may seem a bit competitive to some people, but I hope participants will just enjoy themselves playing the games and performing the challenging tasks.’’

Cars will be flagged off at Courts Megastore in Tampines at 9 am. Participants will then make their way to five different locations all over Singapore where they will be required to look for answers to several quiz questions and even perform challenging tasks, some of which might bring to mind the reality TV programme, Fear Factor.

Teams are given about three and a half hours to complete the hunt and must be back at the end point, also at Courts Megastore, by 12.30 pm.
Aside from the ‘race´, there will also be a contest to pick the best decorated cars and a lucky draw for participants.

Berita Harian´s Treasure Hunt on Wheels has Courts as the main sponsor. Other sponsors are Proton Singapore, Waroeng Penyet and Car City. The event is managed by Wheels For Fun.

Reporters and photographers are invited to cover the event on 10 March. Please contact Danny Yeo at 9622 6233.
