Rock Out and Party at Home with Virtual Beerfest Asia

Singapore, 26 May 2020 – Beer and music lovers can now party at home with the upcoming Virtual Beerfest Asia, happening over two weekends on 29-30 May and 5-6 June!

With the actual festival postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the organiser Sphere Exhibits, in collaboration with e-commerce and live streaming platform Shopee, hopes to bring cheer to the festival’s fans who can buy beers and enjoy the entertainment from the comfort of their homes.

The first of its kind online festival will feature music performances by 16 different local artists. Fans can rock out to Timbre Group bands like TMA Collective and Kollective performing their renditions of classic and contemporary rock hits, and party to DJ sets by local House and EDM DJs over the 4 days. The sessions on 5 and 6 June will be streamed live with a full stage set up at the studio of event partners Unearthed Productions and Live Productions for a closer festival experience.

Viewers can look forward to interviews with brewers and brand representatives on a gamut of beer knowledge too. There will also be live auctions of beers, giveaways and games during each session.

The online festival’s Shopee live stream will be incorporated with The Beerfest Asia shop on Shopee Mall which will have over 150 brews from Singapore and around the world on sale at great prizes. Flash Sales and vouchers for further discounts will also be available on the shop. Purchases above $70 are entitled to free delivery.

In line with Beerfest Asia’s mantra of expanding the beer drinker’s palate along with great music, the Beerfest Asia “Party at Home” Pack consisting of 12 different local and international beers like F**king Hell, Freedom Four, Kwirk, Oranjeboom, Brewlander, Singha, Schoefferhofer, and Jever amongst others will be available at $58 with free delivery.

Beerfest Asia’s Festival Director, Ian Lim, said: “The live entertainment and beer industries have been some of the hardest hit sectors, from significant reduction in revenue to a total loss of income for businesses, freelancers and employees serving in these industries. Consumers have also been deprived of the experiences and social interaction due to the tough but very necessary social distancing measures to manage the health impact of the virus.

“With Virtual Beerfest Asia, we hope to bring exciting content and offers to everyone going through this tough period, and at the same time bring some much needed income and revenue to the employees, freelancers and businesses that have been much impacted by the pandemic.”
