SPH Announcement - SPH wins 8 awards at the Asian Media Awards 2020

-          The Straits Times wins 5 awards, including Silver award for Breaking News Article and Newspaper Infographics
-          Chinese Media Group wins 3 awards, including Silver for Feature Photography

Singapore, 1 July 2020 --- Singapore Press Holdings Limited (SPH) won 8 awards at the Asian Media Awards 2020, including 3 Silver and 5 Bronze awards. The awards, organised by the World Association of News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), were announced online for the first time yesterday (30 June).  

These awards aim to promote the highest publishing standards in the fields of newspaper and magazine design, infographics, printing, editorial content, marketing, community service and photojournalism.

The Straits Times (ST), SPH’s English-language flagship daily, clinched 5 awards, including Best in Breaking News Article (Silver) and Best in Newspaper Infographics (Silver). It also bagged a Bronze for Best in Newspaper Overall Design.

SPH’s Chinese Media Group scored 3 awards, including a Silver for Best in Feature Photography.
