Secure The Future With The Straits Times Scholars' Choice 2020

Singapore, 18 July 2020 - For the first time in over two decades, The Straits Times Scholars’ Choice 2020 pivots its much-awaited fair into a comprehensive online repository of scholarships, with a host of handy features to give scholarship-seekers a much needed boost on their journey to fulfilling their dreams and aspirations.

Unveiled today, the online platform for Scholars’ Choice 2020 ( offers a world of academic opportunities, with a wide range of scholarships for higher education students available across private and public sectors. More than 50 scholarships are available from esteemed organisations such as the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and the Singapore Police Force (SPF).

Featuring former scholars and representatives from selected scholarship boards, a video series has been specially curated and produced just for this year’s edition of Scholars’ Choice to inspire and enlighten potential scholars. The videos will shed light on different scholarship journeys, and provide first-hand insight on the organisations that award these scholarships.

The virtual edition of Scholars’ Choice 2020 takes the place of the annual on-ground event, Scholarships and Top Universities Fair. Students will still have the opportunity to get in touch with representatives from participating scholarship boards through the platform’s direct messaging feature. This is especially helpful in this time of crisis in providing clarity to questions and concerns many students and their families would have about matters relating to higher learning and its prospects.

Scholars’ Choice 2020 is free to access with no registration required. The website is complemented by a special Scholars’ Choice supplement included in the 18 July 2020 issue of The Straits Times.
