Introducing NTUC´s magazine with a brand new look
Singapore, 10
May 2007 –
SPH Magazines Pte Ltd will be launching the
revamped
Just U, a magazine published on behalf of
National Trade Union Congress (NTUC) on 11 May
2007.

The bi-monthly magazine is positioned as a lifestyle
magazine that offers interesting editorial on golf, motoring, wellness and
travel, and tracks the latest trends with excellent reviews on delectable
cuisine, the latest movie blockbusters and the hottest gadgets in town. Each
issue also covers the latest NTUC events and promotions especially for NTUC
members.
With a richer content packaged in a fresh, new look, the
revamped
Just U is all set to add value to every aspect of the
reader´s lifestyle. Cosmopolitan Singaporeans who are affluent and appreciate
the finer things in life, including Professionals, Managers and Executives (PME)
, will definitely find the magazine relevant and engaging.
“
Just
U complements the various ways we communicate with our 480,000 members.
Whilst it was designed to appeal to the younger members, we know that our
subscribers include a 79 year old member. Judging from the overwhelming response
to the first few issues, we know that we are moving in the right direction. We
hope that members continue to share with us their feedback and contributions,
and help to improve
Just U moving forward,” said Neo Gim Kian,
Competency Director (Membership),
NTUC.
NTUC awarded the
publishing contract of
Just U to Heritage Media Pte Ltd towards
the end of 2006. With effect from 1 May 2007, all operations under Heritage
Media were incorporated into
SPH Magazines. With this,
Just U became a custom publishing title under the umbrella of
SPH Magazines.
“
Just U has immense
potential to grow in the lifestyle market. This title has a wide reach with
current circulation is 150,000; majority are mailed out to
NTUC
members and the rest distributed free at cafes, restaurants, offices,
petrol stations and more. The new look and editorial spread will provide a very
viable platform for advertisers to reach this market.
SPH
Magazines was extremely proud to take over this title and with our
dedication and commitment to produce quality publications. We believe
Just U can be taken to even greater heights,” said Dennis Pua,
Managing Director, Specialist Publication Division,
SPH
Magazines.
Following this revamp, Goh Hwee Koon will lead the
editorial team as Editor. She said, “With a bigger team, the best is yet to be.
Moving forward, we aim to continue to boost the magazine´s potential to be an
even more satisfying and worthy read for our valued readers.”
An
official launch to introduce the revamped
Just U will be on 11
May 2007, at DXO @ Esplanade Mall. The Guest-of-honour is Mr Heng Chee How,
Deputy Secretary-General,
NTUC and Minister of State for
Health.
