Singapore, 20 September 2007 - omy,Singapore’s
most extensive, creative, interactive and entertaining bilingual web
portal, will be launched on 25 September 2007.
Two weeks before its public launch, the portal’s publicity campaign has
already created a buzz in the online community with the online teaser
game

launched on 13 September, requires players to snap photos with their
computer mouse to capture various incidents on an illustrated
landscape. Players earn points at the end of the game. The top ten
players, to be announced on 25 September, will walk away with Sony
Ericsson mobile phones.
75858 is omy’s SMS hotline number. Users can send their news lead or photos to this number.
More than 5000 registered users have played the online game since its
launch. The game will be up till 11.59pm on 24 September. The actual
omywebsite will then go "live" at 12am on 25 September.

trailers and music reviews, Showbiz has it all.
My Lifestyle
Watch vodcasts on the latest fashion, beauty, IT, cars, shopping and other lifestyle trends.
Eat!
A section on eating places and food including vodcasts and articles.
There is also a food search function using names of dishes and venues
as key words.
Multimedia
A one-stop media centre for users looking for multimedia content. All
the vodcasts, podcasts and photo galleries are "housed" and archived
here.
Lobang
Powered by Google Earth, this section offers geoblogging function,
which allows blogging onto geographical locations. On a virtual map of
Singapore, users can put up their "lobangs" or shopping tips at places
where they can get the best buys from apparels, furniture, IT products
to food. Other users can also comment and rate these postings.
Showtime
Users can submit their videos and photos here to be rated by other users.
Playground
Living up to its name, this cyber playground offers 100 free-to-play
online flash games that are constantly updated. Fans of English Premier
League soccer matches can participate in the score prediction game and
earn points that can be exchanged for prizes. There is also daily
horoscope readings.
Y-Zone
This is a newsroom managed by student journalists from various tertiary
institutions. The young reporters write about topics and issues
concerning young users.
