SINGAPORE, 17 October 2007 - What is Colleen Francisca, Miss Singapore World 06/07, doing in a glass house by herself in the middle of a public space for seven days?

From today to Oct 23, Colleen will show that she can lead a perfectly functional life without stepping out of her "home", which is the glass house at 701 Raffles Place Park outside Raffles Place MRT station. All she needs is the help of ST701, a comprehensive e-marketplace by Singapore Press Holdings’ CATS Classfied.

ST701 - - offers the most comprehensive and interesting online buying and selling experience through its four verticals: ST701 Jobs, ST701 Cars, ST701 Property and ST701 Shops. The website carries the initials of SPH’s flagship English newspaper, The Straits Times (ST), while the numbers "701" convey what users will experience: 7 days a week, they can search at the 1 place that matters.

Ms Elsie Chua, Senior Vice President of CATS Classified, Marketing, said: “Over the next seven days, the public will be able to see how Colleen, who´s an expert with the ST701 website, uses it to buy and sell everything she needs to meet her daily needs without leaving home”.

She added: “In reality, not many people will actually be confined at home for an entire week like Colleen. But what this exercise goes to show is that it is possible for anyone to use ST701 to get what they want.”

Colleen will post her thoughts and experiences on a blog on ST701 each day. The website URL is

She is willing to pay $1,000 cash to the right person for his time, effort and acting skills. However, to get the job, he has to be the sort of guy her dad would believe she would date - sporty, active and fit, good-looking and between 25 and 35 years old.

Those who are interested can e-mail their picture, personal details, and something interesting about themselves to

Shortlisted candidates will undergo a series of circuit tests on 20 October, Saturday at 2.30pm. Those who make it past the first day will go on to the final round held at the same time on 21 October, Sunday. The finalists will have to show off their strength as well as talent to become the eventual winner and meet Colleen’s dad on 23 Oct, Tuesday at 12.40pm.

"Get the right stuff" Lucky Draw
In conjunction with Colleen´s stay in the glass house, ST701 is giving away $5,000 cash in a lucky draw.
