Singapore, 30 November 2007 - SPH Magazines Pte Ltd (“SPH Magazines”) Young Parents launches the first Pedal ’n’ Run for five year olds and up.
Come 15 December, Young Parents will hold its first ever Pedal ’n’ Run event at Bishan Park II for children aged five to 10 years old. This event kicks off the Young Parents Talent Series, which celebrates the talents of children in various fields such as sports, music and the arts. This first-of-its-kind event comprises a 1.5km cycling leg and a running leg of half a kilometer. It is open to two age groups: Pre-junior (five to seven years) and Junior (eight to 10 years).
Young Parents’ Pedal ’n’ Run is the first non-competitive public sporting event that involves running and cycling for children from as young as five. Every participant of Pedal ’n’ Run will receive a certificate of participation. Other fun awards like Best Dressed, Best Finishing Act and Most Sporting kid will also be given out.
Participants and their families can expect exciting stage games and carnival activities, in addition to attractive goody bags worth over $30, and opportunities to win other great prizes.
Young Parents’ Pedal ’n’ Run is organised by SPH Magazines, and presented by Dairy Products From France, with the support of Hasbro, Vitagen, Marigold, Le Crunch and Abbott Nutrition.
