Singapore, 18 December 2008 – This Lunar New Year, shoppers will stroll into a garden of peonies when they shop at Paragon. The mall will be dressed up in a unique style, incorporating traditional Chinese elements to usher in the new year.
As in previous years, lanterns will remain as the iconic element in the decor of the shopping mall. These lanterns, designed to resemble oriental birdcages, will be suspended from the ceiling at both the atriums and the exterior of the building. Within each lantern is a peony print which will be illuminated during shopping hours, so colours of spring can be seen throughout the centre.
Peony is a symbol of prosperity and the blossom of spring, thus heralding an auspicious start of the Lunar New Year at Paragon.
