Announcing the winners of the Singapore Entertainment Awards 2010

Singapore, 8 March 2010 --- Results of the second Singapore Entertainment Awards (SEA) are out! Winners in the "Most Popular" categories have been named following the public's voting from 3 to 28 February this year.

In addition to the "Most Popular" awards, a panel of judges comprising SPH journalists from print, radio and online media, together with local and foreign media industry experts, has picked the winners in the "Best of" categories. The complete list of winners is attached in Appendix 1.

Jointly organised by Singapore Press Holdings' Chinese media including Lianhe Wanbao, Radio 100.3, and UW (U-Weekly), the Singapore Entertainment Awards 2010 attracted a total of 2.7 million online and sms votes during the voting period.

Five prestigious awards, namely Outstanding Achievement Award (Local Movies), Outstanding Achievement Award (Local Music), New Generation Artiste (Local), Asian New Artiste of the Year and Artiste of the Year, will be announced on 13 March. The winners are also picked by the panel of judges.

The celebration concert cum award presentation will be held at The Float @ Marina Bay on 13 March 2010 (Saturday). Making their appearance at the star-studded event are some of the hottest names in the Singapore and Asian entertainment industry. They include SHINee (Korea), Eason Chan and Moses Chan (Hongkong); Yoga Lin, Rachel Liang Wen Yin and Mark Chao (Taiwan); JJ Lin, Tanya Chua, A-Do, Chen Weilian and Olivia Ong (Singapore). The complete list of artistes is attached in Appendix 2.

Ticketing information
Tickets to the celebration concert are fast snapping up. All $65 stage-front standing tickets and $20 tickets are sold out.There are limited tickets left for the $10 category. Security Information

  1. Members of the public are advised to use public transport (buses and MRT) as the organisers are restricting taxis along Temasek Boulevard. Parking is not available at the venue. Those who are driving are advised to park their vehicles at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Ritz-Carlton Millennia Hotel, Marina Square Shopping Mall and Esplanade Theatres on the Bay.
  2. Bulky and professional video equipment are not allowed into the venue.
  3. Fan club cloth/PVC banners are allowed but not with poles.
  4. Bottled water or canned drinks cannot be brought into the venue. They have to be consumed before entering the venue.
  5. No animals or pets are allowed.
  6. No canned foam spray or laser pointers allowed.
