Singapore Entertainment Awards 2010 to be telecast on StarHub Cable TV

Singapore, 13 March 2010 --- Singapore Entertainment Awards (SEA) 2010 will be telecast on StarHub Cable TV for the first time. The celebration concert cum award presentation this evening will be telecast on StarHub Channel 56 (E-City) on 2 April at 7pm and 3 April at 12.30am.

Over 7 million international viewers from Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, Taiwan, China, Australia, and as far as Canada and United States will be able to catch the delayed telecast on TVB 8 from 12 April, as well as WOW TV (, a home-grown media and Internet company under M2B World Asia Pacific, from 9 April."Live" snippets of the concert will also be uploaded on

Jointly organised by Singapore Press Holdings' Chinese media including Lianhe Wanbao, Radio 100.3, and UW (U-Weekly), the SEA celebration concert cum award presentation will be held this evening at The Float@ Marina Bay. The winners of the "Most Popular" and "Best of" categories were announced earlier.

In addition, a panel of local and international judges comprising SPH journalists and foreign media industry experts, has also picked the winners of the five most prestigious awards of the night, namely Outstanding Achievement Award (Local Movies), Outstanding Achievement Award (Local Music), Asian New Generation Artiste, New Generation Artiste of the Year and Artiste of the Year. The complete list of winners is attached in Appendix 1.

Making their appearance at the star-studded event tonight are some of the biggest names in the Singapore and Asian entertainment industry. They include SHINee (Korea), Eason Chan and Moses Chan (Hongkong); Yoga Lin, Rachel Liang Wen Yin and Mark Chao (Taiwan); JJ Lin, Tanya Chua, A-Do, Chen Weilian and Olivia Ong (Singapore). The complete list of artistes and names of judges are attached in Appendix 2 and 3.

Tickets to the concert are completely sold out.

In the radio business, SPH has an 80 per cent stake in SPH UnionWorks Pte Ltd, which operates entertainment stations Radio 100.3 in Mandarin and 91.3FM in English.

Outdoor Advertising
In addition, SPH has ventured into out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its wholly-owned subsidiary, SPH MediaBoxOffice Pte Ltd, Singapore’s largest outdoor motion display advertising network media company.

SPH owns and manages Paragon, the prime retail and office complex in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore's main shopping belt. SPH's wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Development Pte Ltd, is also developing a 43-storey upmarket residential condominium, Sky@eleven, at Thomson Road.
