SPH Ink Awards 2010 Celebrates the Best in Creative Print Ads

Singapore, 27 May 2010 – Leading media group Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) invites all advertising agencies, advertisers and advertising-related organisations to submit their best advertisements and ad campaigns to the SPH Ink Awards 2010.

The SPH Ink Awards honours the best print advertisements published in any of SPH’s 17 newspaper titles.

Mr Leslie Fong, Senior Executive Vice-President of SPH’s Marketing Division, said: “The awards give us the chance each year to recognise and celebrate the best of the best creative print ads -- and recognise the advertisers and the creative talent behind them.”

There are six categories in this year’s Ink Awards, namely:
A) Print Single – English
B) Print Campaign – English
C) Print Single/Campaign – Chinese
D) Print Classified/Recruitment/Notice
E) Print Creative Media Buy
F) Integrated Campaign

The Integrated Campaign category was first introduced at last year's Ink Awards. To be eligible for this category, campaigns must have appeared on at least one other SPH marketing platform, apart from newspapers.

SPH’s comprehensive suite of marketing platforms includes more than 100 magazine titles, 2 radio stations, out-of-home as well as online media, including Internet TV.

Entry Submission
To be eligible for the Ink Awards, entries must have appeared in any of the 17 SPH newspaper titles during the period of 1 June 2009 to 31 May 2010. The submission deadline is 30 June 2010.

The winners of Ink Awards 2010 will be announced at a gala event in August. The top entry of each category will win $3,000 in cash, as well as a complimentary full-page advertisement in either of SPH’s flagship newspapers - The Straits Times or Lianhe Zaobao.

In addition, the six top entries will also be eligible for the Grand Prix, where the winning entry will be awarded up to $16,000 worth of cash prizes. The advertiser will also enjoy a complimentary full-page advertisement in either The Straits Times or Lianhe Zaobao.

Events and Outdoor Advertising
SPH’s events subsidiary Sphere Exhibits organises innovative consumer and trade events and exhibitions. In addition, SPH has ventured into out-of-home (OOH) advertising through its wholly-owned subsidiary, SPH MediaBoxOffice Pte Ltd, Singapore’s largest outdoor motion display advertising network media company.
